The region is very well suited for hiking with moderate undulations and nothing that will be too challenging for you or the kids.
Your donkey can carry up to 35kg, so you could easily go camping overnight too. And if someone gets tired, the donkey makes for a good resting companion. This would surely be a real highlight of your stay in Limousin.
